BARCELONA, SPAIN—  Lecta has confirmed that its entire packaging portfolio — including its food packaging range — is produced without added PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances). The move establishes a company-wide global standard, following an extensive review of formulations, rigorous raw material selection, and strengthened controls across the supply chain. Prepared for the new regulatory landscape is aligned with the European Union’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which goes into effect on 12 August 2026. Lecta, manufacturer and distributor of specialty papers for labels and packaging and a wide range of coated and uncoated papers for publishing. Lecta sold off their self-adhesive business, including all its self-adhesive products in 2024.
