 Mitchell Press has announced the closing of the operation.  It is vague with few details. There currently is no reason why . All calls by PrintCAN were not retuned by management . On Monday the staff was told in a meeting. There had been an internal fight in the family which all landed in court in 2025.

A bid by a former CEO and shareholder to liquidate the company. Mitchell Press started in 1928, Mitchell is located in Burnaby BC, operated out of a  64,000 sq.ft. plant.  Owned by the Mitchell family.  The Mitchell Group consisted of Mitchell Press, Mitchell Digital, and trade service Pacific Bindery. Equipment consisted of heat set web, sheet sheet fed offset and digital. They were listed as Canada's 64th largest printers and one of Western Canada's largest independent printers,  with sales of over $18 million and a staff of 80. Mitchell Press orders Canada's First Landa Nanographic Press and put it up for sale in 2026.
