 Transcontinental has announces the acquisition of Phipps Dickson Integria Group Inc., a company based in Kirkland and Laval, Quebec, which provides production services for large‑format signage and displays, commercial printing, as well as specialized distribution (Harling Marketing). PDI employs 180 people and boasts state‑of‑the‑art production facilities, which will extend Transcontinental’s capabilities in Quebec.

This transaction follows the acquisitions of Middleton Group in June of last year, and Intergraphics and Mirazed in August. Transcontinental has a network of 13 plants in Canada and some 3,500 employees. The sector offers a wide range of printing for flyers, in-store marketing products, newspapers, magazines and colour books. Even after the sale of its packaging division it will still be the largest printer in Canada with over a billion in sales.
