Transcontinental Appoints Bendavid New CEO
MONTREAL—
Transcontinental, has appointed Sam Bendavid, 46, as CEO effective April 6, 2026. Bendavid during his 18-year career has played a key role in TC’s development, leading numerous acquisitions, integrations, and asset disposals, and designing and deploying major cost-cutting programs.He also held operational leadership roles for over five years, notably as head of Procurement. Fluently bilingual
, he holds an MBA from HEC Montréal and a BA in software engineering from Concordia University.

Still the largest printing company in Canada

Transcontinental has 13 plants in Canada and some 3,500 employees. The sector offers a wide range of printing for flyers, in-store marketing products, newspapers, magazines and colour books. Even after the sale of its packaging division it will still be the largest printer in Canada with over a billion in sales.
