Ricoh To Sell Brother Line In Canada
RICOH TO SELL BROTHER LINE IN CANADA—
Ricoh will offer the Brother Series to expand its portfolio of A4 office print solutions. With Ricoh’s A4 imaging devices complemented by Brother’s cost-effective, multi- and single-function desktop printers. This builds on an existing partnership in the U.S. to provide a comprehensive portfolio of complementary print solutions. Ricoh is also a player in the wide format which Brother has been trying to expand. Ricoh has their own wide format printers and also sell EFI wide format equipment.

February Brother made a bid to acquire Mutoh Holdings, strengthening Brother’s position in wide-format and industrial printing. Mutoh sells to the wide format middle market, a range of print equipment in areas like UV printing, roll-to-roll printing and CAD plotting. Mutoh also has an existing partnership to use Fujifilm’. Brother failed in 2024 to acquire Roland DG another wide format manufacture. Mutoh Management increased its offer after a hostile counter-bid from Brother Industries. Brother acquired inkjet printing Domino Printing Sciences in 2015.
