Polar cutting system , worlds largest manufacture of paper cutters

Heidelberger has come to an an agreement with the Polar Group companies to acquire the technology, intellectual property (IP), and brand rights of this long-standing partner, together with further assets. It is expected that the transaction will be concluded within the coming weeks, after which Heidelberg will have exclusive global sales, service, and marketing rights for the postpress products.

In 2022 Polar was forced into creditor protection.

Heidelberg  is consolidating its partnership with Polar Mohr and gaining direct access to further packaging markets in the growth regions of Asia, South America, and the Middle East. All processes relating to new machines, the supply of replacement parts, and service operations will remain the same as before for customers. The Polar Group of companies has been owned by SOL Capital Management since February 2023, when SOL acquired Polar out of bankruptcy protection, after the business was hit by supply chain delays for critical components in 2022. POLAR has specialized in solutions in the print finishing industry. With around 350 employees worldwide at its sites in Hofheim and Shanghai (China), POLAR develops systems for the automation of industrial cutting and die-cutting processes. Polar also sells under the Mohr brand.
