Ricoh Launches Pro VC40000 mono
—
Ricoh has launched the Pro VC40000 mono webfed inkjet press in two ink-based variants. Ricoh says they have worked closely with their transactional and book printing clients to understand their needs. The latest version of the Ricoh Pro VC40000 platform – a new addition and extension to the portfolio – delivers increased throughput for monochrome applications, while driving down costs. It can run up to 180m/min at full 600x600dpi print quality.
There are two inkset options – dye, which is most commonly used for transactional printing; and mono pigment, which is best suited to book printing. The mono dye version can also run at 225m/min with 600x300dpi print quality. Ricoh said the machine’s configuration flexibility includes duplex, simplex, and dual simplex capabilities. The manufacturer said complex and intensive production processes can be automated in demanding print environments with Ricoh’s Process Driven Automation, powered by Ricoh Process Director. The Pro VC40000 mono is available now and joins the existing colour Pro VC40000, a full-colour inkjet press announced in 2017, in Ricoh’s portfolio.
