DUSSELDORF, GERMANY—  Cimpress (VistaPrint) will add Ricoh's latest high-speed inkjet tech to its production with a deal signed at Drupa. The web-to-print and mass customisation giant has signed for Ricoh’s new flagship continuous feed device, the Pro VC80000 which was part of Ricoh’s showcase in Düsseldorf. The VC80000 prints at up to 150m/min and has a top resolution of 1,200dpi. Target applications for the press include commercial printing, direct mail and publishing. Its features include ‘firefly’ dryer technology, which uses small, heated rollers for a speedier start-up time. Vistaprint is the second largest printer in Canada with about $750 million in sales. Vistaprint's largest printing operation in North America is in Windsor Ontario. VistaPrint is Cimpress its biggest segment, which makes up roughly half of its revenue.
