Once the worlds largest printing trades show
Ipex the world's oldest printing trades show has been cancelled. Started in 1880 it was held every four years in Birmingham England. In it had 3500 exhibitors, occupied eleven halls and over 50,000 visitors. At  one point pulled more non European visitors than Drupa. The last show in 2017 only had 150 exhibitors and 7,000 visitors.

The show was bought by Informa in 2006 from the industry association Picon. It was moved to London in 2014 in the centre of the European recession and lost a number of high profile exhibitors. At one point they were looking at running it every two years but after 2017 performance that idea was killed. There have also been a number smaller start up shows in Britain in the last few years. There was even an Ipex Print show in India years ago.
