Print Job market may be tightening
ONTARIO—

It appears that the job market in the Canadian printing industry may be tightening. www.PrintJobs.ca Canada largest job board for the printing industry has reported that over the last 3 years the number of printing jobs posted has been steadily increasing ( companies looking for staff)  while the number of searches ( people looking for jobs)   has been relatively flat. The exception was in 2016 where the number of searches for Estimators and Prepress people were up significaly . The indication is more jobs with the same number of people interested in looking for jobs.
The highest number of  ads run were  bindery #1, press operator #2, prepress #3, feeder and production co-ordinator #4 and the sales #5. For searches ( job lookers) it is the same order as ads run until you hit sales in #4 and digital press operators and feeders in #5 spot. The results are weighted towards the Toronto and South Western market where a lot help wanted ads are run. Also Toronto is the third largest printing market in North America.
