CALIFORNIA—  Electronic For Imaging (efi) has bought CRC Information Systems from Reynolds and Reynolds. CRC is a management information systems (MIS) provider to the industry. With systems in the forms, commercial printing and wide format segments of the industry. Recently Avanti had been aquired by Richo. efi has been a major player in the MIS field and has aquired several players over the years(Print Smith, Print Leader,Prism ,Pace Systems, DiMS). They now claim to be one of the major players in production workflow software to the commercial print,publishing and packaging industry. CRC will be under the EFI Productivity Software business unit.
