Heidelberg has best profits since 2008
GERMANY—
Heidelberg has reported their best sales and profits since 2008 ( before the economy went off the cliff). Thanks to an excellent final quarter.CEO Rainer Hundsdorfer said "We now need to gear our strategy towards becoming a digital company focused on customer needs. This will bring the expected growth in sales and a further substantial improvement in profitability in the future," he added.
Heidelberg did about $2.74 billion US for the last 12 months. In the final quarter alone sales increased by almost 20% from the previous year. Despite the cost of the Drupa tradeshow of $10 million US the operating profits were $195 million US with a last quarter profit of $92 million euros.
" We've increased the free cash flow and further improved our balance sheet . This lays a firm foundation for the Group to independently finance our transition into the digital world and step up our pursuit of attractive talee over targets. " Heidelberg CFO Dirk Kaliebe commented on the developments.
