Multi-Tac acquired by Drytac
TORONTO—Drytac, a manufacturer of adhesive-coated products with facilities in North America and Europe, has acquired adhesive coating company Multi-Tac.

Based in Toronto and founded 25 years ago, Multi-Tac manufactures pressure-sensitive and custom coating products for flexible packaging, graphic arts, and label and tape applications, along with services and products for the home decor and industrial markets.

"With an increased coating, slitting and sheeting capacity, we can not only expand our standard product range but grow our specialty custom coating services in North America," said Drytac president Marc Oosterhuis in his acquisition announcement. He named OEM films, adhesives, and aqueous, solvent and hot melt coatings as added capabilities.

Drytac was started in Ottawa in the 1970s by chair and chief and executive offer Richard Kelley. It supplies a range of films, adhesives, liquid laminates and finishing equipment to customers in the sign, display and graphic industries worldwide.
