Joe Potje passes away
KITCHENER, ON—Joe Potje, founder of Twin City Dwyer Printing, died this morning after a battle with cancer. He was president of the South Western Ontario Branch (SWOB) of the Ontario Printing and Imaging Association from 1986 to 1990 and continued as a director until the mid ‘90s.
Joe also served as a director of the Graphic Arts Association—later named CPIA—in the ‘80s. He was a fixture at many SWOB events, including the summer golf tournament.
Visitation will be at the Henry Walser Funeral Home in Kitchener, Ont., Tuesday evening, Wednesday afternoon and evening. The funeral will be at St. Anne's RC Church on East Ave. on Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m., and internment will take place at Woodland Cemetery.
A party celebrating Joe's life will be held at the Waterloo Knights of Columbus immediately following internment.
