Quebecor World CEO gets big bonus, former CEO Lucas suing
MONTREAL—Jacques Mallette, CEO of Quebecor World, received a bonus of $1.4 million last year, the Canadian Press reported on Friday.
Mallette, who earned C$2.4 million last year, was appointed CEO about a month before the company filed for creditor protection in January 2008. According to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Mallette’s bonus reflected the challenges of the insolvency process.
The Canadian Press also revealed that Wes Lucas, Mallette’s predecessor, is suing the company for $23 million. More on that as additional details become available.
