OFFENBACH, GERMANY—  Langley Holdings has reached an agreement with Heidelberg for the sale of the parts and service business of Manroland Sheetfed. As part of the planned transaction, which was announced, Heidelberg will also acquire related intellectual property – including relating to the Roland 900/Cartonmaster large-format press, market organisations in around 35 countries, selected assets, and take on around 600 staff. The companies said the agreement represented an important step in securing long-term continuity for more than 3,000 Manroland Sheetfed users worldwide.Heidelberg said it is currently evaluating options for the production and further development of the Roland 900/Cartonmaster large-format press. Manroland Sheetfed entered into a “creditor protection” form of insolvency proceedings, with the support of parent Langley Holdings. In February  Langley Holdings said that mounting losses at the  press manufacturing subsidiary had become unsustainable
