FREMONT, CALIFORNIA—  EFI has launched two new printers, a dye-sublimation model and a hybrid machine. For the higher-volume production-level printing, the Vutek M3h X hybrid printer brings automated design features and can print up to nine layers in a single pass, with speeds reaching 392sqm/hr and up to 3,000dpi. The Vutek FabriVU 340 i8, a 3.4m-wide dye-sub printer with inline fixation. It boasts an expanded colour gamut, featuring eight colours including CMYK, orange, blue and a choice of two light inks. With production speeds up to 375sqm/hr in outdoor mode or 135sqm in backlit, the printer delivers up to 2,400dpi.
