Vistaprint Buys Half Of Mixam

Vistaprint has acquired a 50% stake in British web-to-print platform Mixam. Vistaprint is owned by giant Cimpress. Mixam claims that it “empowers anyone to create, print, and share their work” removing traditional barriers around printing and publishing. Product range include books, magazines, comics, art books and albums, and a range of printed items for business and marketing. Target customers include creators, publishers and brands.  Mixam has online stores Britain, Ireland, the US, Canada, Japan, Germany and Australia.

Cimpress ealier this year took a  majority stake in German web-to-print software firm CloudLab. Cimpress owns Vistaprint, Print Brothers and National Pen. Cimpress total sales is $3.4 billion. Cimpress forecasts a 5%-6% full-year growth, projecting at least $72 million in net income and $450 million in adjusted earnings. Cimpress looking at the production of more complex “elevated” products as demand for commodity basics such as business cards wanes.
