WIESLOCH-WALLDORF, GERMANY—  Heidelberg new CTP with a new automated system that allows platemaking to become “largely autonomous”. A new Compact Pallet Loader and Compact Bender have been added to the Suprasetter 106/A106 CTP system.Heidelberg says is “plugging a gap” between its existing Dual Cassette Loader, with capacity of 100 plates per cassette, and the Auto Pallet Loader which handles up to 1,500 plates of one format. The new CPL handles up to 1,200 plates from 650x750mm up to 1,050x1,200mm format. The Suprasetter runs at up to 55 plates per hour, while an optional barcode function means plates can be supplied pre-sorted based on the upcoming jobs and presses being used. The CPL is made by Heidelberg, while the Compact Bender is an OEM product. The system is fully integrated with its Prinect workflow.  Existing users of the two Suprasetter models manufactured from 2017 onwards can also retrofit the new equipment .
