 HP has introduced the HP Indigo 6K+ Digital Press, which is designed to meet the growing demands of digital label production. Built on the Indigo 6K, of which over 2,300 units have been installed globally to date according to HP, the continuous feed Indigo 6K+ is said to maximize productivity through the new SmartControlSystem and intelligent automation tools. It also introduces advancements in AI-powered tools, automation, scalability, and press robustness.

The SmartControlSystem has been designed to improve diagnostics, uptime and press reliability for enhanced robustness. With the new integrated system, HP said users can produce more jobs per shift while minimizing waste and reducing unplanned maintenance interruptions. Other tools available include the HP PrintOS Suite, Automatic Alert Agent 2.0 (AAA 2.0), HP Spot Master, and HP Nio, which the manufacturer said “empower operators with real time insights, shorter setup, intuitive troubleshooting, and automated colour management”. The machine features seven ink stations and spot colours and is said to cover up to 97% of the colour gamut as well as special inks including Silver ElectroInk, Invisible and Fade-Resistant inks, and a comprehensive White ink portfolio.
