OTTAWA.—  Trico Packaging & Print , has completed a major consolidation of its print manufacturing operations. This move, part of a broader strategic growth plan led by owner Michael Hothi, reflects a significant shift for the company. Hothi, has spearheaded an aggressive acquisition-driven expansion, acquiring Canadian Printing Resources (Toronto) in 2023 and Maracle Press (Oshawa) in 2024. “The acquisition strategy has created opportunities for us in an evolving print market not available to most others in the commercial print space,” said Hothi. As part of the consolidation, Trico has transitioned its Ottawa operations into a focused sales and administration office, reducing space from 60,000 sq. Ft to 5,000 sq. Ft. Trico has moved production to Maracle Press which operates 24/5. Trico continues to sell to and service all customers with daily shipments into Ottawa from Maracle.Remaining Ottawa staffing are 8 Trico staff (sales, admin and finance) as well as 3 “Corporate staff” that support the entire group of companies.
