The company is rapidly expanding the nyloflex® eco series, replacing existing traditional nyloflex® plates with new, more sustainable versions. Unveiling two analog nyloflex® eco plates as the next step.Designed as a versatile plate for paper and board applications, the nyloflex® eco ACT delivers exceptional performance with water-based inks, making it ideal for absorbent substrates. Meanwhile for corrugated post-print, nyloflex® eco FAC achieves consistent, high-quality results on rough and uneven surfaces or pressure-sensitive and soft paper materials. Both plates feature the same light blue color that is gradually standardizing XSYS’ flexo portfolio to optimize plate production and reduce production waste. In terms of composition, the plates’ polymer layers contain between 19% and 29% renewable raw materials to improve the footprint of the plates across their life cycle, as evident by life cycle assessments performed by XSYS. They also enable a reduction of the processing time by up to 20%, helping to minimize energy use and solvent consumption in the platemaking process. Notably, nyloflex® eco plates can replace legacy nyloflex® plates without time-consuming press trials.
