Voter Cards Not Mailed Because Possible Postal Strike
NOVA SCOTIA—
The Nova Scotia provincial elections agency did not send voter information cards in the mail in the recent election due to a potential strike by Canada Post workers. The Canadian Association of Retired Persons said many seniors don't use the internet regularly and rely on the postal service for voting information,
adding Elections Nova Scotia's decision leaves older voters at a unique disadvantage. The union was in a legal strike position before the election, but no notice of strike action was served. In Canada election notices and ballots are still printed for elections .
