OTTAWA—  Canada Post has received strike notices from the Canadian Union of Postal Workers, for both Rural and Suburban Mail Carriers bargaining units. The notices indicate that CUPW will be in a legal position to begin strike activity on November 15, at 12:01 am ET. Canada Post has notified the union represented employees that unless new agreements are reached, the current collective agreements will no longer apply as of Friday. About  60% to 70% of every thing that is printed goes through the mail. A larger percent of Canada Post volume is direct mail with a continual shrinking volume of letter mail.
