Quad/Graphics sells European Operation

 Quad/Graphics is selling its European  Plants with a deal to sell to a private equity . American  Quad/Graphics originally established its European operations through a partnership with Polish printer Winkowski back in 1998. Ten years later it took over the business and renamed it Quad/Graphics Europe. Quad then bought point-of-sale specialist Marin’s International in 2015, which became Quad POS.Plants in Wyszkow and Kolania Poland with offices in Warsaw, Paris and Meerbusch Germany .

Quads European operations had sales of $160.2m last year, down $21m on the prior year. Quad has agreed a €41m deal to sell the businesses to Capmont, which focuses on investing in small and mid-cap companies in Europe. Quad/Graphics had sales of $3bn last year. It had more than 13,150 employees worldwide. Quad is the second largest printer in the US market behind RR Donnelley and a head of Cimpress (Vista Print) , followed by Transcontinental.
