Fujifilm had its biggest-ever booth at Drupa
 Fujifilm’s Graphic Communications division will be renamed ‘Printing and Solutions’ as part of the restructure that will have the operation become part of its Business Innovation division.The results for up to 31 March, Fujifilm said it planned to “develop services in all printing areas from office and commercial printing to industrial printing as the only ‘solution partner’ in the industry”. Group sales grew by 3.6% to ¥2,960bn .

Operating income increased slightly up 1.3% to ¥277bn. The Graphic Communications, Fujifilm said that sales of printing plates decreased due to weak demand for printed materials mainly in Europe and the US. In the digital printing field, revenue increased due to growing sales in Europe and the US of production printers launched in the US, UK, France and Canada in April 2023. Fujifilm’s growth strategy for its printing products includes accelerating the digital shift by investing in high-speed, high-image-quality digital printing and digital transformation “which are expected to grow”. At Fujifilm’s inkjet business production systems are being reorganized to improve profitability, and sales growth is planned through capitalizing on its proprietary know-how in inks and printheads.
