 Duplo introduced the iSaddle Senshi, a new saddle stitching system that delivers strength and agility for a production environment.The max booklet 1-up production speed is 5,050 8 1/2 x 5 booklets per hour with up to 30 sheets, or 4,000 8 1/2 x11 booklets per hour with up to 30 sheets. The max booklet 2-up production speed – with A6 (4' x 5') at 2-up – is up to 10,100 booklets per hour. Duplo wanted to honour its Japanese roots with the name of the machine, as Senshi is derived from the Japanese word for warrior.

The company says the system provides the quality of a saddle stitcher with the convenience of flat sheet, plus significantly reduced makeready times to boost productivity. Key features include a flat-to-finished book, heavy-duty stitching, significantly reduced makeready times, increased productivity, and end-to-end automation, plus the intelligence to handle the increasing number of short runs and complex jobs with ease.
