Xerox Extends Fujifilm Equipment Deal
ROCHESTER . NEW YORK—
Xerox has renewed its contract with Fujifilm on equipment. Fujifilm is Xerox’s largest manufacturing partner and supplies specific products across its entry, mid-range and high-end product portfolio, including the Iridesse and Versant models. Xerox will spend around $1.17bn on products made by Fujifilm this year.The “recent agreement” that ensured continuity of supply for current and future products, and the deal auto-renewed on a five-year basis.
The decades long joint venture Fuji-Xerox, came to an end in 2019 after Fujifilm’s bid to acquire Xerox was thwarted. Xerox agreed a new sourcing relationship with Fujifilm at that time. Xerox and Fujifilm are now direct competitors world wide. Fujifilm has launch of its Revoria range of digital presses. Xerox pulled out of Drupa 2024 in September and FujiFilm has taken some of abandon space.
