Gibson Printing of Scarborough Goes Into Receivership

Company goes back to 1916 and was started by Percy Gibson
Gibson Printing Co. Ltd. on Ironstone Cres, was put into receivership by the by secured creditor TD Bank. They owed about $400,000 including the bank for about $190,000. The company was over 100 years old with offset, digital and wide format equipment . An auction was held in late September with some but not all the equipment sold off. The Heidelberg five colour was not in the action.

Gibson Printing claimed to have about 40,000 sq. Ft. and had moved into the Ravenshoe Group building in 2010. On the Receivers notice there was a $367,000 intercompany loan outstanding. The company was purchased by the Wigmore family in the 1950's and Rick Wigmore was last listed as President. The website and phones are still working but all PrintCAN calls and email went unanwered.  No calls to the Ravenshoe Group were returned . If Gibson Printing  is still operating is unknown.
