RR Donnelly Plant In Trenton Is Closing
TRENTON, ONTARIO—
Unofficial announcement of the first RR Donnelley Canada plant closures is the old Moore Business Forms plant in Trenton, Ontario. Roughly 80 workers at the business forms plant in Trenton face an uncertain future after being informed the business will cease operations within 18 to 24 months. The plant was a forms and label plant and also a union shop.
After Data Communications Management (DCM) completed the purchase of RR Donnelley Canada it was expected there would be consolidation of plants and closings. With the purchase of R.R. Donnelly Canada in April, DCM has became the third largest printer in Canada with sales of over $500 million. DCM has 18 plants across Canada including B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec.
