RICHMOND ' B.C.—  Paper Excellence, a Canadian company that started in Canada with a single pulp mill in 2007, is now  becoming  one of North America’s biggest paper companies. In 2019 they acquired Catalyst paper mills ( MacMillan Bloedel,Crown Zellerbach ). In 2021, the company doubled in size and international scope with the acquisition of Domtar for $3 billion and a Brazilian pulp and paper company for $2.9 billion. On October 31,  Montreal-based Resolute Forest Products  will vote on a proposal by Paper Excellence to acquire the company ( Merger of Abitibi-Consolidated and Bowater Papers). A recent report  ties Paper Excellence to Indonesian conglomerate Sinar Mas and its affiliate, Asia Pulp and Paper (APP),
