OAKVILLE, ONTARIO—
Ford Canada has made an announcement that the company will no longer print vehicle brochures. The carmaker is moving away from printing its vehicle specification brochures as it says it moves to be more environmentally friendly. Ford made an announcement in a multi-faceted move to save money and the environment. Ford Canada, said that getting rid of just 800,000 brochures across Ford and Lincoln models would save 245 tons of wood annually.
The company is sending a bulletin to inform dealers: the Ford Brochure Program will be discontinued after Q2 2022. Printed brochures will no longer be available after June 30th” the bulletin reads. Moving forward, buyers will be forced to go online to find information they are seeking. Those who aren’t as technically inclined may find this to be a problem. Also as some have pointed out by forcing people to their website Ford is also able to collect data though their website cookies on potential customers.
