LUXEMBOURG—  Flint Group is talking with possible buyers for its Xsys pre-press business based a report from Reuters. Xsys has sales of around $440 million ( Canadian) and 600 employees. Flint set up the  Xsys division at the start of 2021. It combined Flint’s flexo wing and Xeikon’s pre-press division. The Reuters report talked about why  private equity buyers are “falling out of love” with plastic packaging businesses because of issues around the use of single use plastics. Some  companies are trying to overcome these issues by making products that are  recyclable. Reuters said that some investors were also of the view that companies in associated sectors “face being impacted by the tougher line being taken on plastics ”. Kodak sold its flexo business  to private equity buyer Montagu Private Equity in 2020 .
