Pacific Bindery Adds Polyurethane Reactive Perfect Binding
BURNABY , B.C.—
Pacific Bindery is adding Polyurethane Reactive (PUR) Perfect Binding their post-press finishing trade services. Polyurethane Reactive (PUR) adhesives open up a wide variety of high-value project work, enabling one to bind a much wider array of papers, finishes, inks and coatings including spot UV strikethrough effects.
Polyurethane Reactive (PUR) is far superior to Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) or any other adhesives used in traditional perfect binding. PUR
has superior flexibility, which prevents the spine from cracking when the book is opened wide or pressed down flat. This upgrade on our 18-pocket Muller Martini binder will add significant value for all print communicators. This addition comes after print professionals across BC and Alberta have been asking for trade PUR perfect binding to handle their growing need of technical perfect bound production runs from 100 to 100,000 copies.
