Matt Fyfe , former President of Maclean Hunter Printing

 Matt FYFE, 1936-2020 Passed away peacefully on December 30, 2020. Matt was instrumental in taking Maclean Hunter’s printing facility from an in-house printing facility for the largest magazine producer in Canada, to a nationally recognized commercial printing operation with plant acquisitions across the country.

He served as President of the Canadian Printing Industries Association (CPIA), Canadian Printing Scholorship Trust Fund and Board member of the Printing Industries Association (PIA) to name a few.

In 1994, Maclean Hunter was acquired by Rogers Communications, with the printing operations sold to Quebecor Inc.Matt  maintained strong friendships well into his retirement with his printing associates, and his Golf Club became a beacon for printing colleagues, with the fragrance of “Scotch and Ink” in the clubhouse on Friday afternoons.
