They Are Back , Printed Flyers
TORONTO—
NO FRILLS used to prints over 3 million flyers a month in Ontario. About a 18 months ago Walmart tried getting rid of their printed flyers . After a significant hit in sales and a lot of customer complaints they brought the printed flyers back.
NO FRILLS the discount division of Loblaws, Canada's largest supermarket chain said in February of this year they were dropping all their printed flyers and only doing digital marketing. No more printing . Recently NO FRILLS printed flyers haves started to reappear as inserts in Community papers in the Toronto area. Loblaws have made no comment. Unofficial sources said No Frills stores sales had taken a hit. Most of their major competitors have kept printing flyers.
The largest printer of inserts or flyers in Canada is TranscontinentalPrinting. They print over $300 million of flyers a year. In Ontario most of the flyers or inserts are printed at the plant in Owen Sound or Vaughan plants .

Yeah no kidding. Not everything we do is conducive to poking around on our cell phones. Nothing like grabbing the magic marker and circling the deals and having it laying there on your shopping cart as you cruise the store. Sometimes old school works better. Don't fix what ain't broken.
