Transcontinental Closing LGM Winnipeg Plant
WINNIPEG—
Transcontinental announced is closing it's last remaining plant in Manitoba the Transcontinental LGM plant in Winnipeg. The complete closure of the facility on January 31st, 2021. Operations will be transferred , mainly to Transcontinental RBW Graphics in Ontario and, to Transcontinental Calgary. This decision will result in the permanent layoff of 110 employees .
The Winnipeg plant was unionized under Unifor Local 191. Some Customer Service and Sales employees will however remain in place to continue to serve Transcontinental LGM – customers . Transcontinental bought LGM Graphics back in 1998 in a flurry of acquisition that year.

There is no loyalty from TC. Doesn’t matter how much you achieve. How much you save them or make them money. It wasn’t like that 20 years ago. They have gone to corporate. Remi cared about his people. The people running it now only care about their bonuses.
