Canadian Bank Note Get $40 Million For Nano Technology
OTTAWA—
The Federal Government will invest $40 million in Canadian Bank Note's Nano Technologies Division. Canadian Bank Note printers of polymer bills, passports and other security documents.This will help Canadian Bank Note create more security features using nano technology. Canadian Bank Note has been helped by the fact cash has shown surprising resiliency
despite the growth of electronic transactions such as paypal, debit cards
and even Apple pay.Cash in circulation has grown at around 4% according to the IMF. Canadian Bank Note in 2013 won a $460-million contract with the Bank of Canada to print currency. Canadian Bank Note is now a private company run by Douglas and Ronald Arends. Graphic Monthly listed Canadian Bank Note as the 10th largest printer in Canada . Sales are estimated at $300 million a year.
