ROCHESTER, NY—  Xerox is closing almost of half its 186 Xerox Business Solutions (XBS)  locations.  Sales teams to work remotely, and laying off support staff, as part of a massive consolidation. Xerox rebranded its Global Imaging Systems division as Xerox Business Solutions  earlier this year. Xerox was going  to  transfer up to 28,000 smaller government contracts to the XBS division across North America. Up to 22% of Xerox sales comes through the XBS division, 37% from resellers and 41& from direct sales. Xerox had earlier said they would be expanding the XBS division. How many layoffs  and which locations  has not been disclosed.
