Burke Group Buys Two Calgary Printers
CALGARY—
 
Burke Group of Edmonton  has bought two Calgary printers Topline Printing and Printcor. They will both retain their names but as a  division of The Burke Group. Printcor will be moved into the Topline plant. Topline Printing started back in 1985 and had sales around $8 million with 35 employees. They have an 8 colour 40", a 29 " 6 colour , die cutting and cold foil. They do a reasonable amount of work in the packaging field. They have a 48,000 square foot plant.
 
Printcor which was founded in 1979 has sales of around $4 million with just under 20 employees. They have a 29" six colour . The combined sales of the two new Calgary companies will be about $14 million bring Burke Group up to about $40 million and a total staff of 175. They will be the largest in Alberta and one of the 4 largest in Western Canada ( Friesens, Pollard and Hemlock).
