SCARBOROUGH—
General Press a trade letterpress shop is closing down after 30 years. The shop did die cutting, foil stamping, embossing and glueing. They have stopped taking orders and are now selling off all the equipment. They have been returning embossing and steel rule dies to customers .
The founder Roberto Santacroce had been a fixture in the Toronto trade for years. He died in 2015 and his wife carried on the business but decides to finally close it down. Some of the equipment has already gone but several Heidelberg platens and a gluer are left.
