Canada Post to change rates in 2016
TORONTO—
Canada Post is making changes to its operations including a rate modification in the upcoming year that may affect pricing for magazine publishers.
Some of the changes include the Letter Carrier Presort (LCP) being changed to Special Handling and the multi price points will be collapsed based on sortation levels in an effort to simplify the pricing for publication mail. The new pricing model could mean a big decrease or increase to publication mail costs.
Visit the website to learn how the new prices will affect magazines. Publishers who are looking for a 6-15% increase in costs should contact Canada Post or Magazines Canada at info@magazinescanada.ca.
