Unisource and ION Print Solutions recognized for philanthropic works
EDMONTON—
Print service provider ION Print Solutions and paper supplier Unisource Canada (a Veritev company) is being recognized by the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton for its generosity.
Last week, on National Philanthropy Day, an annual awards luncheon was held to give local not-for-profits the opportunity to say thank you for the support they receive throughout the year.
Unisource Canada’s Ron Peterson has been supporting the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton for several years by donating paper products used for client applications, volunteer and donor communications and promotional materials. The value of their services would amount to thousands of dollars.
ION Print Solutions has been supporting the bureau since the late 1990s by printing communication materials for the charity.
“We’re so fortunate to have the support of both of these generous businesses,” Darlene Kowalchuk, campaign director of the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton, said. “Because of them, we’re able to keep our administration costs low to ensure that as many of our fundraising dollars as possible go directly to local families and seniors in need.”
This year the bureau expects to assist 67,000 local families and individuals in need by providing a festive meal during the holiday season. Because of the help ION and Unisource has provided, $0.80 of every dollar goes directly towards helping those in need.
