GEORGETOWN, ON—Following the acquisition of 67 trade media publications and related digital assets in partnership with Newcom Business Media earlier this year, Annex Business Media is looking to expand again—this time with the purchase of a Komori LS 8-colour 40" perfecting press from KOMCAN, the Komori dealer for Ontario and Western Canada.



“This purchase means growth for our print division,” Lance Hill, director of plant operations at Annex Business Media said. “We will double our productivity, improve quality, and lower our make-ready and waste through automation.” Hill expects the new press to be operational in the summer of 2015.

The Komori LS is equipped with APC fully automatic plate changers, PDC-SII close-looped colour control, AMR automatic make-ready, fully automatic wash up systems and KHS Komori high speed inking. The press will replace the Simcoe-based company’s 29" half size eight-colour press.
