Dieco and Matrices A Decouper LM complete merger
LAVAL, QC—DIECO and Matrices A Decouper LM Inc. have merged their production operations to form one of the largest capacity trade diecutting services in Quebec.
DIECO has been in business since 1969 and supplies the converting industry with products to optimize press preparation, makeready and cutting in many sectors, including paperboard, and printing, from leathers to composites, rubbers to felt, labels, electronics and plastics.
Matrices A Decouper was established in 1972 and supports the print industry with finishing services including diecutting and gluing.
The new company will be known as DIECO Finishing Inc. and will accommodate all of the diecutting, folding, gluing and finishing operations of both entities, including sales, service and administration. DIECO Finishing will feature an expanded capacity for diecutting, with the installation of a large format blanking diecutter this January.
“Both companies have a long and well established reputation in the city for diecutting and finishing,” LM general manager Francois Monette said. “Our similar cultures and complementary strengths will provide both our customers and employees opportunities going forward.”
DIECO Finishing is in the process of consolidating all production operations in DIECO’s facilities in Laval and expects to be operational in the New Year. DIECO Steel Rule Die Inc. will continue independently of the merger.
