Multi-Bookbinding buys K.D. Bindery
SHAWINIGAN, QC—Multi-Bookbinding is set for expansion with the acquisition of K.D. Bindery in Langueil, Que.

Formerly known as South Shore Bookbinding until it was bought and renamed two years ago, K.D. Bindery has been in business for over 25 years specializing in the production of binders and large-format sample cards.

"Their diverse range of equipment complements that of Multi-Bookbinding's but, above all, it is the recognized experience of their team which will be an advantage for our development," said Yvon Sauvageau, president of Multi-Bookbinding (pictured on left).

The facility will continue operations under the Multi-Bookbinding name, Sauvageau told PrintCAN.

Founded in 1988, Multi-Bookbinding specializes in case binding and found its initial success producing yearbooks and school agendas. Its clients include Webcom, St. Joseph Media, TC Transcontinental and Marquis Book Printing.

With the acquisition of K.D. Bindery, it adopts new specialized equipment including Crathern and Heliomat pieces.
