Transcontinental sells Rastar subsidiary
MONTREAL—TC Transcontinental Printing is selling the assets of a Utah subsidiary called Rastar, which specializes in personalized print products, to a well-known Utah commercial printer.

Sun Litho, a print company established in 1941, will acquire Rastar via wholly-owned subsidiary Digibell.

"The decision to dispose of Rastar’s assets is consistent with our strategy to focus on our commercial printing operations in Canada," said TC Transcontinental Printing president Brian Reid in a released statement.

"We are certain that Rastar’s customers will continue to be well served by the new owner and we thank them for their support over the past several years. We also thank all our employees for their dedication and support over the past several years and wish them every success in the future."

Based in Quebec, Transcontinental is the largest printer in the country and the third-largest in North America.
