Heidelberg signs to distribute Fujifilm plates
MISSISSAUGA, ON—Fujifilm Canada announced an agreement with Heidelberg Canada for Heidelberg to distribute the company's line of thermal plate products across the country.
Starting this month, Heidelberg will distribute Fujifilm's LH-PJ, LH-PL, LH-NN2 and the Ecomaxx-T line.
Heidelberg will operate as an additional distribution channel and will handle its own customer field support via its Canada-wide technical services team. Fujifilm, meanwhile, continues to offer the full range of its graphic arts products including all thermal and photopolymer plate equipment, through its own direct sales channel.
Fujifilm said the alliance strongly positions both operations in the plate marketplace, with an eye toward increasing market share. "We recognized the common strategic relationship between our two companies," said Stefan Biasi, vice-president of the graphics systems division, in a released statement.
"Strong trust relationships are a key to success for printers in Canada," said Heidelberg Canada president Richard Armstrong in the release. "Having access to Fujifilm's strong thermal plate portfolio broadens our offering and will help Heidelberg develop and maintain our relationships."
