Grafik'Art Montreal enjoys successful 2013
MONTREAL—Attendance at this year's Grafik'Art Montreal was up 10% from the previous show in 2011. "It was great for the exhibitors, who did a lot of business," said organizer and founder Louis Bernard.

The uptick wasn't just in event goers. According to Bernard, the show sold 4,000 more square feet than in 2011, attracting 96 exhibitors ranging from trade printers to regional distributors, including GBC Canada, Fujifilm and Ricoh.

"I'm very happy with this year's show," said Grafik'Art's Louis Bernard

New this year was a special zone dedicated to dye sublimation, featuring a host of machines for textile printing including the recently launched Roland Soljet XF printer, and the Matic FlexiCut Ultrasonic Cutter, which is new to Canada. Bernard said this zone will grow in shows to come. "We will try to push this part of the graphics arts," he said.

Grafik'Art Montreal 2013 was held April 25-27 at Place Bonaventure, marking the show's seventh edition. The next event is slated for 2015.

The show was better than expected and years of hard work from the organizers transformed into value to exhibitors and a meaningful experience for those who attended. It helped restore confidence in the trade show model and furthered our commitment to the French Canadian market. Merci.
