Walmart Canada glossy runs at 1 million
TORONTO—
Walmart Live Better was released this week by Walmart Canada and Rogers Media. The magazine boasts a circulation of one million, which would make it Canada's largest.
It is being printed by TC Transcontinental, which last year extended its contracts to print Rogers' marketing products and magazines to 2019. The deal was valued at a reported $250 million.
Published six times a year, the glossy-paged custom content mag is being distributed for free at Walmart Supercentres in English Canada, and is also available through digital platforms in online, mobile and iPad formats. The first issue is 100 pages.
Content covers food, entertaining, health, beauty and fashion tips. All featured products are available in Walmart Canada Supercentre stores.
"Walmart Live Better is really about making inspiring ideas accessible, attainable and affordable to Canadians. The unique partnership brings Canadians a fresh and informative multiplatform magazine," said publisher Christopher Loudon in a released statement.
According to Walmart Canada, eight million Canadians visit one of the company's locations each week, making for a large potential readership.

Walmart should treat suppliers, their workforce and WM workers with more reasonably. Live Better means nothing when you don't practice it yourself.
